If you get hung up on a building, it's difficult to get unstuck from it without wasting tons of time. Just make sure you hit with the side of your car, and not the front. It won't hurt your car much, and it's better than slowing down sometimes. If you're going too fast into a turn, use a wall or another vehicle to brace your turn. Use Your Environment That said, you can use your environment to your advantage. If it gets to be completely full, your car will damage out. A small meter under the speedometer will fill up. Be advised, though, that driving through too much stuff, or smashing into too many cars, will damage your own vehicle. Don't be afraid to hit stuff, if it's absolutely necessary. You can drive through stuff, go up on sidewalks, jump streets, scare pedestrians, etc. If you don't plan turns in this game, you will not do well. If you can't spare a look to the corner, click the right analog stick and look at the map overlay. Keep an Eye on the Map Make sure you glance at the map every couple of seconds to see what's ahead. Practice these turns in Cruise Mode, and get used to the handbrake. To use it effectively, take your finger off the gas, hit the brake, then halfway through the turn, re-engage the gas in order to speed out of the turn. It allows you to go around corners without losing as much speed as you would by braking, then turning. Use the E-Brake The emergency brake (also called the e-brake or handbrake) is an important part of getting where you need to go quickly and efficiently. However, there are a few things you will need to learn in order to triumph over courses. Don't drive too fast for conditions, don't oversteer around corners, and try to avoid traffic as much as possible.
